- The fragility of human memory that I kept feeling through the second part The Dark Forest was here too. There was a fickleness here, too, as well as humanity’s deeply felt desire for justice. I sense confirmation bias - because I read an article about people who play by rules even when they don’t need to. I don’t even recall what article that was and if it’s indeed true - and I sense a confirmation bias creeping in, but I’ve definitely felt that in my own behavior - not wanting to be judged by others. Humanity as described in the trilogy has this same issue.
“Rules” of the game
- Morality
- Fear of being judged - plays into God & religion
- Peer pressure
